'300,’ 'Grandpas over Flowers,’ 'You Quiz on the Block' Are Gaining Recognition Overseas For Their Creativity

tvN's entertainment programs are drawing attention from all over the world, bringing joy without borders. tvN's '300: We The United Voices' achieved a feat of winning at the <AACA2019> awards ceremony while 'Grandpas over Flowers' finished airing overseas amidst great response. 'You Quiz on the Block' and 'Shadow Singer' have confirmed the remake adaptations in Vietnam. XtvN's ‘Love at First Song' has also been well received in the global market by signing option contracts in the U.S., Spain, and the UK.

tvN's '300: We The United Voices', where musicians and fans team up to perform, won the 'Best Music or Dance Program' category at <AACA 2019> held in Singapore on December 6 (local time). In 2019, it has also signed format sales option contracts with six European countries including Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, and the UK.

tvN's much loved entertainment program 'Grandpas Over Flowers' also achieved steady results this year. In addition to the U.S., Turkey, and Italy, it has aired in France, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Israel, and Thailand amidst good response. The remake of 'Grandpas Over Flowers,’ which was aired on the French TV channel FRANCE 3 in July, recorded a household rating of 7.4% with the second season also confirmed.

tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block', which was well-received this year by giving warm laughter as a quiz show that meets various people, sold the format to Viettel TV, a Vietnamese TV channel. It will be remade and aired on a new channel of Vietel TV, set to launch in April 2020. In addition, it was nominated for the 'Best General Entertainment Game/Quiz' show category in <AACA 2019> and was recognized for its content influence.

tvN's 'Shadow Singer', which aired in 2017, presented fresh fun as a music entertainment program in which stars pretend to be replica singers of unknown singers. The show has confirmed its remake version on VTV3 channel in Vietnam in 2020. In January of this year, its rendition in Indonesia aired, which drew a passionate response.

XtvN's 'Love at First Song' is a content that CJ ENM developed and showed it to overseas markets such as Vietnam and Malaysia before the Korean version aired. Following Vietnam and Malaysia, in 2019, it signed an option contract with the U.S.Spain, Portugal, and the UK. In particular, 'Love at First Song' is a successful case of pre-exporting, in which the format developed in-house targeting overseas markets from the planning stage achieved great results in the global market.
