CJ ENM Wins Big at Asian Academy Creative Awards 2022: ‘Twenty Five Twenty One’, ‘My Boyfriend is Better’, ‘Our Blues’, ‘Yumi’s Cells’

Leading entertainment company CJ ENM has once again demonstrated its presence by having four titles named as winners at the Asian Academy Creative Awards.

The mega-hit drama Twenty Five Twenty One became the winner in the Best Drama Series category. Produced by Studio Dragon and Hwa&Dam Pictures, the drama aired on Netflix worldwide and tvN in Korea. Talking about the wandering and growth of young people whose dreams were taken away in the chaotic times of 1998, it recorded the highest rating of 11.25 locally and received a lot of attention from worldwide K-drama fans.

CJ ENM’s brand new music game show My Boyfriend is Better has been awarded Best Non-scripted Entertainment. The non-scripted show from CJ ENM’s music channel Mnet, created by the original creator of The Masked Singer, is about five girlfriends who want to show off their boyfriend's singing skills and play a bet to see who's the best singer. Along with its global popularity, it is currently being developed in the US, Europe, and Australia.

Screenwriter Noh Hee-kyung won Best Screenplay with her latest omnibus series, Our Blues. The 20-episode drama tells multiple stories of people who are at the end, climax, or start of their bitter yet sweet lives, working and loving on vibrant, warm Jeju Island. Aired on Netflix worldwide and tvN in Korea, it was recognized as a well-made drama in Korea.

Yumi’s Cells (S1&2) produced by Studio Dragon and aired via CJ ENM’s OTT platform TVING, has won Best Original Programme by a Streamer/OTT. Based on a famous webtoon of the same name, the drama shows Yumi’s down-to-earth story of living, working, and loving in the city to which everyone can become attached. Its well-animated characters and romantic comedy story contributed to leading TVING’s paid membership subscribers' growth during its weekly releases.
