‘MCOUNTDOWN IN FRANCE’ Mesmerizes the Audience With the Undeniable Power of Korean Culture

Leading entertainment company CJ ENM successfully launched its World No.1 K-POP Chart Show in Europe through ‘MCOUNTDOWN IN FRANCE,’ illuminating the indisputable influence of Korean culture. The show had a successful run on the night of October 15, boasting an attendance figure exceeding 22,000 at the Paris La Défense Arena, the largest concert venue in Europe.


The night’s grand opening was enough to establish MCOUNTDOWN IN FRANCE as an exemplary show. Taekwondo performance group K-Tigers took the stage with stunning performers ATEEZ for a collaborative performance of ‘The Real (Heung Ver.),’ warming up the evening with a burst of Korean culture.


ATEEZ then continued the fervor with their signature tracks, followed by <Queendom Puzzle> winners EL7Z UP, outstanding conceptual artists Dreamcatcher, global mega rookies ZEROBASEONE, trendsetting group TREASURE, MONSTA X’s first ever subunit SHOWNU X HYUNGWON, multi-million selling record maker NCT DREAM, and industry-leading group SHINee’s member TAEMIN.


The highly anticipated series of special stages also received enthusiastic responses from the audience. ZEROBASEONE took the stage along with their fans for ‘DREAM STAGE’, performing ‘New Kidz on the Block’ together and crafting an unforgettable moment. Another special segment ‘Your Name’ where ATEEZ, ZEROBASEONE, and NCT DREAM called out the names of their fans earned passionate responses. Also, girl group EL7Z UP covered BLACKPINK’s ‘Pink Venom’ chosen by the fans for ‘The Most Loved K-POP’ stage, making the group’s first performance in Europe even more memorable.


Lastly, K-POP’s first-ever Billboard charting artist PSY closed out the evening. With his return to Paris in eleven years since his well-known flash mob, PSY brought ‘GANGNAM STYLE’ back to the city.


As an entertainment leader that presents unparalleled experiences full of diverse, boundless performances to global fans every year, CJ ENM further expanded the grounds of K-CULTURE and K-POP this time with MCOUNTDOWN IN FRANCE. K-Tigers’ ‘HIP KOREA’ medley of Taekwondo interpretations of widely loved K-POP songs, along with the global girl group Kep1er’s ‘Fresh Wave BUSAN 2030’ music video, sent support to the World Expo 2030 candidate Busan.
