CJ ENM tvN's offline communication event 'tvN Joy Festival 2018' won the main award in the communication-branding category of the 2020 'IF Design Award (2020 International Forum Design Award)' held in Germany on the 5th (KST). The 'IF Design Award' is an international design competition in Germany that has been held since 1953 and is considered one of the world's three most prestigious design awards along with IDEA and RED DOT. The branding of 'tvN Joy Festival 2018' achieved the feat of winning the main award at the 'IF Design Award', proving once again its branding power. tvN is the only Korean broadcasting channel that won the main prize at this year's 'IF Design Awards'. This is also the first time tvN participates in the award ceremony.

'tvN Joy Festival 2018’ event souvenir and leaflet design also won silver and bronze awards in two categories at the world's largest advertising awards ceremony, 'Promax BDA Global 2019’.

'tvN Joy Festival 2018’ is an offline communication event between tvN channels and viewers. It has been delivering the joy of experiencing tvN content directly to viewers for four years since 2016. From the exhibition hall decorated with the theme of tvN's content loved throughout the year, to various experiential activities that viewers can participate in, and talk sessions with the cast and crew of the program, it has established itself as a successful experiential festival.

The award-winning 'tvN Joy Festival 2018' was conceived under the concept of 'one Fun a day', and the character of the week that symbolizes the key visual 'Joy' consists of the alphabet of each day. In addition, the facial expressions of each character encapsulate the keyword 'Joy' that tvN wants to convey.

Kim Jey-hyun, CJ ENM’s Channel Business Division, said, “We are very grateful that our branding of 'tvN Joy Festival 2018' has been recognized globally at a prestigious awards ceremony. I believe this project was well-aligned from its concept to visuals. Going forward, tvN plans to carry out various brand advertisings that can evoke a strong sense of empathy from viewers in the future, so we hope for your continued interest and support.”
