tvN’s ‘On & Off’ Proves Its Brand Power By Winning '2021 Korea First Brand Grand Prize

tvN's 'On & Off' (directed by Shin Chan-yang) won the '2021 Korea First Brand Grand Prize' in the observational entertainment category.

The 'Korea First Brand Award,' which started in 2003 and celebrated its 19th anniversary this year, is the country’s largest brand award given to the brands expected to lead Korea for the year. The Korea Consumer Forum selects and recognizes Korea's top-notch brands annually based on the results of a nationwide consumer survey.

tvN's 'On & Off' won an award in the observational entertainment category in recognition of its content brand value and creativity. Producer Shin Chan-yang said, ""I'm happy to receive this big award, which I find even more meaningful because the selection was made by TV audiences themselves. If it weren’t for the celebrities who appeared on 'On & Off,' I don't think I would have received this award,"" adding, “I know that this means that you are looking forward to 'On & Off' scheduled to come back this year, and I will make sure to bring more fun. 'On & Off' which was first aired in 2020 is a 'private documentary' entertainment that captures celebrities’ busy jobs (ON) and personal lives (OFF) from a new perspective. It has received a lot of love from viewers for  sharing celebrities’ rarely seen private lives as well as their professional ones. 

 

Most notably, it has provided a different kind of fun by enabling viewers to discover the hidden aspects of various stars. Celebrities such as Lee Ji-ah, Yoona, Mamamoo Solar, Yoon Bak, and Shim Eun-woo has gained popularity by showing off their charms in 'On & Off' in both busy professional lives and easygoing private lives including their sloppiness in certain aspects of daily life. 

'On & Off' comes back on with a fresh look on February 16 (Tuesday) at 10:30 PM. Hosted by Uhm Jung-hwa and Sung Si-kyung, the new series will feature Choa, Yoon Bak, and Nucksal as the members who are ready to unveil their unhindered, candid sides. Expectations are growing for the fresh laughter and special sights that ‘On & Off’ will present this year.
