CJ ENM contributes to the
practice of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development by
establishing a virtuous resource cycle and spreading an eco-friendly
consumption culture.
CJ ENM signed a resource
circulation agreement with international organization ‘Korea Food for the
Hungry International’ in 2023 and expanded eco-friendly consumption practices
by donating company-owned assets to establish a virtuous cycle of resources.
These efforts were part of our commitment to fulfilling corporate social
responsibility and contributing to sustainable development.
In 2024, CJ ENM conducted
a local economic cooperation program with ‘Goodwill Store’ to create jobs for
people with disabilities. A total of 645 items donated by employees, were
delivered to the MIRAL Gangseo branch of Goodwill Store, which is near to CJ
ENM Sangam Office Building. This initiative contributed to creating job
opportunities for persons with disabilities, promoted environmental protection,
and generated social value equivalent to one month’s salary for a worker with a disability through the
sale of reused goods.
Additionally, CJ ENM donates
our products of carious categories including fashion, accessories, health
supplements, and household goods to the reuse and sharing store operated by ‘Sharing Happiness’, a
foundation certified by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. In 2024, with CJ
ONSTYLE's sponsorship, the foundation opened the 11th store, the Wangsimni
branch, in Seoul's Seongdong-gu, operating the store centered on CJ ONSTYLE
donated items. Ten percent of the sales proceeds from donated items are
allocated to the establishment and operation of additional stores. The funds
also support the growth of social enterprises and assist vulnerable groups
affected by natural disasters. Furthermore, the donation activities help reduce
waste generated during inventory management and contribute to lowering carbon
emissions.
CJ ENM would try our best to sustain green earth with our society where
we live together by practicing various sharing activities and resource
circulation activities.
