The Impact of Content Creating a Safe and Healthy Society

CJ ENM puts our priority to protect workplace safety and health so that safety and health culture can be established throughout our society.

In order to induce pan-social interest in the prevention of industrial accidents and raise safety awareness through webtoon contents enjoyed cross generation, Also CJ ENM holds the "Industrial Safety Webtoon Contest" with the Korea Safety and Health Agency and the Seoul Industrial Promotion Agency every year from 2022, and the selected works would be provided with prize money and an opportunity for visualization. A total of more than 150 outstanding chosen works on the theme of industrial accidents over the past three years, including 31 works in 2022, 63 works in 2023, and 61 works in 2024, have raised social interest and encouraged people to practice safety behavior.

In addition, in order to prevent serious civil disasters that may occur during large-scale performances or events like concerts or festivals, CJ ENM worked with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Safety and Health Agency to produce and release safety videos using tvN Friends, iconic characters, to guide the audience and contribute to the spread of safety culture messages to the public.

Furthermore, in 2024, in recognition of the excellence of risk assessment, an activity to discover and address risk factors that may occur throughout the workplace, CJ ENM won the top prize in the regional presentation competition and the grand prize in the final presentation competition of the 2024 Risk Assessment jointly organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Safety and Health Agency. Lastly, CJ ENM was awarded a 2024 Industrial Accident Prevention Award by the Seoul Metropolitan Headquarters of the Occupational Safety and Health Agency for its contribution to the spread of safety-conscious culture by establishing a risk assessment at the content production site and strengthening safety and health activities of staff and visitors during performances.

These are the proud results of our efforts to introduce risk assessment in a leading way to prevent serious accidents at content production sites and to create a safe site through preemptive and effective discovery and improvement measures.
