Russian version of ‘I Can See Your Voice’ to premiere on Russia-1 in May

CJ ENM’s mega-hit music format “I Can See Your Voice” is all set to entertain Russian audiences in May.

Russian broadcaster Russia-1 will premiere “I Can See Your Voice” under the title of “Я вижу твой голос” at 9pm on Friday, May 14.

The Russian version of “I Can See Your Voice” is produced by the production company VMedia Studio with 8 episodes for this season. In the captivating new game, the player will try to figure out who are good singers or bad singers, without ever hearing a note. YouTube star Vladimir Markony hosts the show and the famous Russian celebrities will help the players to reveal real vocal talent and win 1 Million rubles.

“The countdown to 14 May is on and we cannot wait to launch this exciting new music show, where contestants try to find the most talented singers with the help of some of Russia’s most famous celebrities. Audiences will love to play along at home, in this high-stake competition which could see someone take home 1 million rubles,” a Russia-1 representative said.

Following the partnership deal with South Korean media company CJ ENM and global distributor Fremantle, Fremantle secured a commission for the format from Russia’s leading broadcaster Russia-1. In 2021, CJ ENM and Fremantle successfully launched a British version of the format, produced by Thames and Naked for BBC One. In the UK, "I Can See Your Voice" is currently the hottest new show of the season, with 3.4M viewers for the 3rd episode - making it the most-watched TV program in the UK for the day. Following its success in the UK, this format promises a whole new take on the music game show genre as well as lots of music and play-along fun for the whole family in Russia.

“I Can See Your Voice,” a mystery music show originally created by CJ ENM, is a world-traveling format where guests need to guess whether contestants are good singers or bad singers, just depending on their looks and lip-sync performance. The original creator, Seon-young Lee, came up with the notion in 2012, filmed the first season in 2014, and the show premiered in February of 2015 in Korea. Until now, the show has successfully aired 8 seasons in Korea.

As of 2021, it has been broadcasted to 18 countries worldwide, including FOX(US), BBC One(UK), M6(France), RTL (Germany), RTL4 (Netherlands), Russia-1(Russia), and more. “I Can See Your Voice” has proven its originality with more than 800 episodes within 39 seasons worldwide.
