Leading global entertainment company CJ ENM is solidifying its position as a Global IP Powerhouse, with its K-Dramas dominating the top charts on major OTT platforms worldwide.
Its latest romantic comedy series Bon Appétit, Your Majesty has remained at No.2 on Netflix’s Global Non-English TV Shows chart for two consecutive weeks since its release. The series also entered Netflix’s U.S. Top 10 TV Shows chart on September 8, according to FlixPatrol. This achievement marks a significant milestone, underscoring the growing competitiveness of K-Dramas in the U.S. — the world’s most competitive OTT market.
Earlier, the series became the first-ever non-original K-Drama to reach No.1 on Netflix’s Global TV Show chart, just three days after its August 23 premiere, according to FlixPatrol.
During the first half of 2025, CJ ENM’s standout titles — Resident Playbook, Our Unwritten Seoul, My Dearest Nemesis, Head over Heels, and Law and The City — also achieved remarkable success on leading global OTT platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and Rakuten Viki, driving unprecedented K-Content popularity.
The success stems from CJ ENM’s expertise in delivering uniquely Korean sensibilities across diverse genres, including romantic comedies, fantasy, medical dramas, and legal series. Backed by the creative and production strengths of its affiliated studios — Korea’s leading scripted TV studio, Studio Dragon; K-OTT content production studio, CJ ENM STUDIOS; and Egg Is Coming, a label under CJ ENM STUDIOS — the company continues to showcase the global appeal and competitiveness of K-Content.
A spinoff of the mega-hit Hospital Playlist franchise, Resident Playbook, produced by CJ ENM STUDIOS and Egg Is Coming, remained in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Shows for seven consecutive weeks. The series also ranked among the Top 10 in 18 countries and reached No.1 in six of them, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Studio Dragon’s Our Unwritten Seoul, a heartfelt romance and self-discovery drama about twin sisters, has achieved notable success on Netflix, ranking in the Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows for six consecutive weeks and peaked at No.3. As of the first week of July, the series has recorded over 140 million cumulative viewing hours, highlighting its soaring global popularity.
Head over Heels, a bubbly fantasy romance infused with elements of Korean shamanism and produced by Studio Dragon, achieved strong results on Prime Video, peaking at No.2 globally on Prime Video’s TV Shows chart. The series also reached the Top 10 in 52 countries and claiming the No.1 spot in 8 countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Egypt.
My Dearest Nemesis by Studio Dragon, highlighting the strength of CJ ENM’s romantic comedy lineup, topped Rakuten Viki’s weekly charts in 136 countries within its first week of release. The series also claimed the No.1 spot in the K-Drama category on leading regional OTT platforms, including U-NEXT in Japan, Vidio in Indonesia, and FPT Play in Vietnam.
Law and The City by CJ ENM STUDIOS, a youth-driven legal workplace drama, entered Rakuten Viki’s Top 5 in 144 countries, including the U.S., Brazil, France, the UAE, and India. The show also ranked No.1 and No.3 on U-NEXT’s drama and main charts, making it the platform’s best-performing K-Drama in 2025. Its screening event in Kuala Lumpur last month attracted over 20,000 Malaysian fans, highlighting the series’ expanded international fandom.
Alongside these series, other titles — The Queen Who Crowns, Study Group, Way Back Love, and Second Shot at Love — have likewise received strong acclaim across global OTT platforms, with several ranking within the Top 10 on services such as Netflix, Rakuten Viki, and U-NEXT.
Building on this momentum, CJ ENM will continue to accelerate its global K-Drama success in the second half of the year. Upcoming titles such as Shin’s Project and Nice to Not Meet You are set to premiere later this year, aiming to further expand K-Dramas’ global footprint.
